February 2009[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from Bulldog Trading Company LLC. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Bulldog Trading Company LLC, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors;
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam); and,
  4. avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for businesses. For more details about what, exactly, constitutes a conflict of interest, please see our conflict of interest guidelines. Thank you. Morbidthoughts (talk) 21:26, 2 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your sandbox[edit]

Hello Tommak95. Regarding your message on my talk page, you apparently need a lesson in assuming good faith. You also need to know that what you said is very close to being a personal attack, which is never OK on Wikipedia.

For your information, personal sandboxes should not be included in categories. I was merely removing your sandbox from the categories by putting "nowiki" tags around them. Also you do not actually "own" your sandbox and though of course people should not rewrite or otherwise change your sandbox without your permission, simple housekeeping measures like I have done are entirely appropriate.

Please be careful the next time you accuse one of the top 300 editors (in terms of number of edits) on Wikipedia of vandalism. Be sure to click on the bluelinks provided in this message and learn more about Wikipedia policy and guidelines. That said, I'm sorry my edits were confusing to you. Next time simply ask the other editor why s/he did what s/he did, without assigning blame or making accusations. If you need help with anything else, be sure to let me know. Good luck.

P.S. You should remember to log in when you edit.

I think you may have missed the above message regarding your sandbox. Please see WP:CAT#Project categories, where it says:
"User pages are not articles, and thus do not belong in content categories such as Category:Living people or Category:Biologists. They can however be placed in user categories – subcategories of Category:Wikipedians, such as Category:Wikipedian biologists – which assist collaboration between users. See Wikipedia:User categories for further information.
Similarly, user subpages that are draft versions of articles should be kept out of content categories. If you copy an article from mainspace to userspace and it already contains categories, remove them or comment them out. Restore the categories when you move the draft back into article space."
Let me know if you need additional help. Katr67 (talk) 21:22, 26 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

March 2009[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, you may not know that Wikipedia has a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Using different styles throughout the encyclopedia, as you did in Belknap Springs, Oregon, makes it harder to read. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. —EncMstr (talk) 19:30, 2 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
