[edit]

Please stop editing in the following text into the Fantastic_Beasts:_The_Secrets_of_Dumbledore critical reception section:

"Meanwhile, some fans have preferred Johnny Depp's interpretation of Grindelwald. There was some fan reaction as to the lack of presence of Katherine Waterston as Tina Goldstein in the movie as she only appears in one scene, with some fans concluding this was a result of her speaking out against J.K. Rowling's stance on trans-rights"

These lines are based on a known unreliable source published months before release and fan speculation respectively and are therefore not worthy of inclusion. Apache287 (talk) 21:02, 19 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hi Topsydney! I noticed that you have manually reverted to restore your preferred version of Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. Esowteric + Talk + Breadcrumbs 09:25, 20 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop undoing important things

[edit]

In Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore You have been undoing or reverting important edits because you simply want to do it (or at least that is what i think) . It is really annoying, please stop , and if you have doubts with the starring list, here is the main cast from WB ; https://www.warnerbros.com/movies/fantastic-beasts-secrets-dumbledore#about 201.188.147.99 (talk) 22:09, 8 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I have been undoing or reverting important edits, yes, but not because I wanted to do it for pleasure or for fun (if this is what you think), but because I think you are posting false information with unreliable sources. In addition, there are rules to follow on the film sheet. Esowteric and Yj1622 made this clear. I only help them. I'm sorry, but I'm going to continue because you can't put false information on a wikipedia page, especially if the sources you cite are not reliable. Have a nice day. 201.188.147.99 (talk) 23:13, 8 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Topsydney. Please keep undoing those unhelpful edits. The changes by 201.188.147.99 (and their other IP address) have been quite disruptive and I wish they had all been reverted instead of some editors wasting their time making efforts to fix the problems they caused. -- 109.79.175.194 (talk) 21:08, 17 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Poster

[edit]

That poster change you weren't sure about[1] it was actually an improvement as it changed to a slightly different version that included a billing block. The choice of filename was not good though, it would have been better to overwrite the existing file https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Fantastic_Beasts-_The_Secrets_of_Dumbledore.png and replace the PNG with a JPG. -- 109.79.175.194 (talk) 21:08, 17 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Control copyright icon Hello Topsydney! Your additions to 65 (film) have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Please do not copy and paste from other websites as you did with Rotten Tomatoes HERE. Thank you. Mike Allen 15:03, 10 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Eamon Farren, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Gold Coast. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 05:55, 12 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed that your recent edit to Queerbaiting did not have an edit summary. You can use the edit summary field to explain your reasoning for an edit, or to provide a description of what the edit changes. Summaries save time for other editors and reduce the chances that your edit will be misunderstood. For some edits, an adequate summary may be quite brief.

The edit summary field looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please provide an edit summary for every edit you make. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder by setting Preferences → Editing → Tick Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary (or the default undo summary), and then click the "Save" button. Thanks! Isaidnoway (talk) 14:41, 18 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
