Amory tornado wind speed

[edit]

Hey Tornadofan2.0! I wanted to let you know that I reverted your edit on Tornado outbreak of March 24–27, 2023, where you changed the Amory wind speed from >155 mph to 158 mph. There was a discussion on the talk page (Talk:Tornado outbreak of March 24–27, 2023#Amory tornado) where the situation was discussed and explained some. I also added a note next to the wind speed which readers can use. In short, the 158 mph is preliminary and the 155 is official, so the >155 mph + the note for readers is the best to do right now. Okay! Thank you! Tornadofan2.0 (talk) 16:30, 9 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello there! I am sending this alert to all members of the WikiProject Weather and editors who have recently edited in the realm of tornadoes.

There is a large and important discussion ongoing, with the goal to completely overhaul and improve the List of F5, EF5, and IF5 tornadoes. The previous improvement attempt back in 2022/2023 gained almost no participation. This alert is being sent out so these discussions hopefully gain a reasonably-sized participation, so the F5/EF5/IF5 tornado article, one of the most viewed weather-related articles on Wikipedia, can be improved for all readers!

If you wish to participate, please visit: Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Weather/Possible F5/EF5/IF5 tornadoes. The Weather Event Writer (Talk Page) 14:03, 28 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
