Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because it appears to be mainly intended for publicity and/or promotional purposes. Please read the following carefully.

Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, celebrity or other well-known individual, or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements, and using Wikipedia for promotion. Wikipedia has many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, but such groups are generally discouraged from using Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.

Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?

Probably not. See WP:FAQ/Organizations for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, organization, or clients. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit again. Consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

What can I do now?

If you have no interest in writing about some other topic than your organization, group, company, or product, you will probably not be allowed to edit Wikipedia again. Consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

If you do intend to make useful contributions about some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:

  • Add the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} on your user talk page.
  • Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
  • Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 17:02, 28 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

New user. I am trying to set up this for engineers all over and getting information from professional (P.E) engineers for content. I was premature and thought the user page was more of a profile page and copied a company's info I am working with - who will be expert in content. I really want a second chance and I WILL NOT post until it is suitable. I have learned a lot in 24 hours about Wikipedia. Please unblock and let me do this again... the right way. I'm new, I'm ready to do it right. I will delete all the copy we have and work in draft mode until ready. I was putting in place holders. We want to define Engineer of Record for Materials, so Materials Engineer of Record. These are well know terms (designations) and certifications in the construction and engineering field. There are Civil Engineer of Record, Engineer of Record, Materials Engineer of Record, Mechanical Engineer of Record and on and on. The importance of this is for accountability and risk management. This is not a new term, if you know construction at medium to high levels this is fact - you have someone of record to point the finger at, with their professional seal and signature - literally. These are designations/terms/titles and they can fall within Engineering, Construction, Science categories - I do not know which at the moment. Our desire is to Define Engineer of Record from the Materials side and possibly create a general Engineer of Record too. This is such a hot topic today when the roads, nuclear, marine - we are talking billions of taxpayers money and who is telling the government, etc how to build something, how long this road "should" last and why they need to spend the money. Engineers of Record are the point people to validate and witness this spending of money and resources. This term is real, yet not on Wikipedia. Materials Engineer of Record is very crucial in the infrastructure decision making on every construction project in the world. Concrete, plastics, fiberglass, recycled materials, raw materials, stone, salt, basically everything you can build with. Materials are subject to saltwater, wind, erosion and a growing poor base of raw materials - like all the good stone from quarries are being used up and poor stone (very salty - you see it seep and pop up new concrete - is causing silica reactions possibilities to every project. This is engineering and a science with laboratory testing and such. This is a field of study and career. I'm not promoting a company please... but I do need expert content providers. PLEASE unblock and accept my apology

Decline reason:

(Please post new messages at the bottom of your page.)
Please read carefully your block message above. You were blocked for two reasons: promotional edits and your username. A Wikipedia account must belong to one individual, not a company. You can't be unblocked so you can continue editing under your present username. Please use the unblock template {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} to specify a username that represents only you personally and not your company, as well as the unblocking rationale. ~Amatulić (talk) 17:38, 29 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
