I took the liberty of changing your speedy deletion tag for the above-captioned article into an AfD. I just wanted you to know that I agreed with your instinct 100% that this article was suitable for deletion, and it surely looked like a small heap of nonsense, but unfortunately I had to agree with the article's creator (who might be a child) that the speedy category specifically says it doesn't apply to schools. You can see the AfD and note that I mentioned that this doesn't seem very like a school to me, but I thought I'd bend over backwards to do it justice. My apologies for second-guessing you; if you have any questions or problems, I'm at your service. Accounting4Taste:talk 21:15, 16 November 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for your note. As I said, I sympathize, because the article seemed ripe for deletion by any means. My own personal feeling is that the agreement that schools are not subject to the "non-notable group/company" rules tends to encourage young people to contribute articles on their own schools to Wikipedia; although these articles are not generally very useful or widely used, I think young people get an introduction to contribution that way and may actually go on to usefully support Wikipedia. That being said, I think this particular one was a borderline case, is likely a commercial establishment rather than a state- or charter-supported one, and that's why I went with an AfD. Sometimes, alas, we have to take the long route when a shorter one is visible but inappropriate. Accounting4Taste:talk 22:01, 16 November 2009 (UTC)

Thank you

Thanks for reverting vandalism on my user page. --Barret (talk) 16:17, 17 November 2009 (UTC)

Vandal

You just gave a final warning to User:Regieg1; I have the distinct impression that this could be a block-evader. See the history for Marietta High School and a blocked IP's contributions. Just to let you know--I'm not suggesting a course of action. Thanks, Drmies (talk) 18:45, 17 November 2009 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
