Hi. Please do not make the sorts of edits you are to the Edmund Kayyuen Lo article. It is not the way to handle the issues with the article. It's not that we don't appreciate you looking out for the accuracy of the articles - we do. We just need to make sure other values at Wikipedia aren't trodden on in the process.

Defamation of this sort runs foul of our biographies of living people policy, while we do not wish for incorrect information to stay in our articles the sorts of accusations you are making are unencyclopedic and inappropriate. We take our impact on real people seriously - such editing will not be tolerated.

The article is currently up for a deletion discussion - if the community decides to delete the article will go completely. You can comment at the discussion here. Please keep comments brief, civil and to the point. Provide evidence for any assertions you make (for instance, if you know Edmund Kayyuen Lo is not in a particular film say how you know, and document it with a link if appropriate). Comment on the content of the article and what can or cannot be written in keeping with our core policies. Personal knowledge is not normally appropriate.

Also, there is no need to discuss Lo's character; for instance, accusations of lying are inappropriate. Since content on Wikipedia needs verification to stay, we will delete from the article any claims that do not have independent verification, so the issue of lying is moot - such accusations will most likely cause your opinion to be discounted by most editors and may lead to further action, our biographies of living people policy applies to comments made all over Wikipedia, not just in articles.

Removing content and comments

[edit]

Please don't remove content or comments from articles and discussions without stating a valid reason for it in your edit summary (that was a genuine accident and didnt realise i did that. I was just meaning to add to my part and put in the "Truesora 13:34, 13 September 2007 (UTC)" bit at the end). Also, please remove the unsourced comments about a living person from your user page. --OnoremDil 13:31, 13 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Truesora, I've deleted some content from your user page that is an unnecessary and controversial description of a living person. This is in keeping with the spirit of our biographies of living people and civility policies. If you have any questions please leave a message here or at the bottom of my talk page. Thanks. -- SiobhanHansa 22:57, 15 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I understand. I didn't think you were being childish at all. I thought you were trying to point out a problem for us and that you just weren't familiar with our policies (which aren't always obvious or universal on websites that encourage participation) or with the alternatives that were open to you. I hope you continue to help us keep things accurate - if you'd like any help on how to do so within our guidelines and policies, please feel free to ask. -- SiobhanHansa 18:00, 16 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
