Regarding authority

[edit]

Credentials (including your claimed credentials) are irrelevant here, noone here cares about them, we will ignore them. Your edit request to Simon Cowell lacked a reliable source, which is why it was denied. Truth is not a criteria for inclusion, we only care about citing reliable sources. Also, you have no real proof that you are indeed affiliated with the UK government in any way, and even if you did, you would still need to cite a source. As far as we know, you're just some kid in his mom's basement in Wisconsin. In fact, if this account does belong to an organization, we actually need to block you, since accounts are supposed to belong to single individuals, not organizations. Ok, looking into it, I found a couple of sources. The wiki-code to cite these sources would be: <ref>[http://www.ukdps.co.uk/Media/Media-LightningCowell-091010.html Simon Cowell changes his name to Lightning Cowell] on [http://www.ukdps.co.uk/ the UK Deed Poll Service website]</ref><ref>[http://www.fleckingrecords.co.uk/2010/10/simon-cowell-changes-his-name-to-lightning-cowell.html Simon Cowell changes his name to Lightning Cowell] on [http://www.fleckingrecords.co.uk Fleckingrecord.co.uk]</ref>, placed right after the statement the source is to support. Keep in mind, though, that the story may not be considered notable just yet. Also, there is still the issue that accounts are to belong to individuals, not groups. Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames that give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; you are welcome to create a new account with a username that represents only you. You should also read our conflict of interest guideline. If your username doesn't represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|Your reason here}}. Thank you.
