Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Uchesneh, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of your recent edits to the page Peter Odey did not conform to Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and may have been removed. Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations verified in reliable, reputable print or online sources or in other reliable media. Always provide a reliable source for quotations and for any material that is likely to be challenged, or it may be removed. Wikipedia also has a related policy against including original research in articles.

If you are stuck and looking for help, please see the guide for citing sources or come to The Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Again, welcome!  EasyAsPai (talk) 16:48, 21 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@EasyAsPai thank you for this but please could you point me to the edits so I could make amends. Thank you. Uchesneh (talk) 16:56, 21 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi! So basically everything you added, aside from the Legislative Career section, had no sources at all. You need to provide reliable sources for all information you add to an article, and there are special standards for articles about living people.
The other issue with your edits are that they did not meet the neutral point of view standards of Wikipedia. Language such as "a visionary with the charisma and knack to build consensus to achieve his objectives" and "remarkable lawmaker's love for politics," among many others, are not appropriate for a Wikipedia article. I feel like I have to ask, do you know or work for Mr. Odey? If so, you should also read the conflict of interest article. EasyAsPai (talk) 17:38, 21 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
