History of foil resistors[edit]

Your additions to the Resistor article about the history of foil resistors does not have the level of English skill appropriate to the article. You have good ideas and good intentions, but the English language in your text must be higher quality. This is an English encyclopedia, and should show the best English language skills. Binksternet (talk) 19:51, 28 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Resistor. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. If that proves unsuccessful you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. Please stop the disruption, otherwise you may be blocked from editing. Binksternet (talk) 21:08, 28 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Pack it in. Make your case at talk:resistor where we can talk politely. SpinningSpark 21:25, 28 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You have been reported to the Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard for edit warring. Binksternet (talk) 21:28, 28 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy to prevent further disruption caused by your engagement in an edit war at Resistor. During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below.

per this complaint at WP:AN3. EdJohnston (talk) 08:22, 29 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It is sad that you got blocked even after you had self-reverted the problem edits. I am sure you can make some valuable contributions to Wikipedia, but in the future please discuss things with other editors. That is what the talk pages are for. SpinningSpark 12:41, 29 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
