Information icon Hello, I'm Binksternet. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Event management, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Binksternet (talk) 14:36, 1 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Subject: Re: Event Management Article Edit
Hi Binksternet,
Thanks for letting me know about the missing citation in my edit to the "Event Management" article. I apologize for the oversight.
I'd love to re-add the information I included, and I'm happy to provide a reliable source. I have a blog link (https://vorsonmarcom.com/blog/themes-for-corporate-events-in-pakistan-2024/) that I believe qualifies, but unfortunately, referencing guidelines often restrict the use of blog posts as sources.
I appreciate your help in keeping the information on Wikipedia accurate and well-sourced.
Thanks again,

The main problem with your suggestion is that it would serve to promote vorsonmarcom.com rather than the readers of Wikipedia. It's much better to add material taken from uninvolved parties—WP:SECONDARY sources—for instance an author of a general book on the topic. Binksternet (talk) 06:22, 2 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Binksternet,
Thanks for pointing out the issue with using vorsonmarcom.com as a source. I understand now that including promotional content isn't ideal for Wikipedia.
Your explanation about focusing on secondary sources and independent authors was really helpful. I'm feeling much more confident about finding reliable sources and adding them to articles.
Is there anything else I should be aware of when editing content on Wikipedia?
Thanks again for your guidance!
Sincerely,
Usamahaneef Usamahaneef (talk) 11:56, 3 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon This is your only warning; if you insert a spam link to Wikipedia again, as you did at Human resource management, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted, preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines.
