I noticed that one of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

Hi there, thanks for your feedback.

For context, I am looking to set up a Wiki page about Vertigo Releasing - which is a UK independent film distribution company. I've been informed that in order to do this, I have to make at least 10 edits elsewhere on the site. I didn't want to edit articles randomly so thought best course of action was to add in areas that I know are correct - so added the Vertigo Releasing credit to titles I know they released. Is this prohibited? And if so, can you advise how I can complete my ten edits in order to claim the page.

Hi Lydia. Your edits aren't strictly prohibited, but the information you added was not supported by reliable sources, and could easily be perceived as a form of attempted promotion. If you'd like to write an article, I'd recommend doing so in draftspace or your personal sandbox. If you haven't done so already, check out the Article wizard. If you do have a conflict of interest, check out WP:COIE for guidance on disclosure and practices (if not, I apologise for my assumption).
