Re: Whatredirectshere

[edit]

Hey W!B:, I'm sorry I took so long to respond--I was off Wikipedia for a while and wasn't able to check my talk page messages. Thanks for your suggestion! The issue can be fixed by (1) looking up whether the first letter is always capitalized on that particular wiki (Wikipedias usually are, Wiktionaries usually not) (2) Capitalizing the first character if the first letter is capitalized on that wiki. This should be fairly easy since Duesentrieb has a nice table on the toolserver that lists which wikis have case-sensitive first characters, so I'll implement it as soon as I get around to it. fine, Tangotango, hope You enjoyed Your pause - and enjoy pottering WP further on ;) --W!B: 11:52, 19 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Escutcheon

[edit]

I felt I should leave you a note about your recent interlanguage link on Escutcheon. I reverted the edit because the article is primarily about the Wappenschild, not the Mittelschild. If en.WP had an article specifically about the inescutcheon (which I think it eventually should and probably will) then a link to Mittelschild would be more appropriate. Feel free to leave me a message if you still disagree. Wilhelm_meis (talk) 09:51, 21 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

no, my fault, I failed the redirect inescutcheon - thanks for correcting me & greetings --W!B: (talk) 10:58, 21 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference

[edit]

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 20:15, 14 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Mobile signature, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page TAN. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
