Here are a few key questions:

You are currently blocked because your username appears directly related to a company, group or product that you have been promoting, contrary to the username policy. Changing the username will not allow you to violate the 3 important principles above. Daniel Case (talk) 03:54, 16 July 2013 (UTC)

This block strikes me as unwarranted and unnecessary, and the questions asked by Daniel Case are inapt. I don't see any evidence of this editor making promotional or COI edits. I don't see any evidence of adding non-notable content either. I think this user is probably just a fan of sports played on the West Coast, like those at San Diego State University. Jweiss11 (talk) 04:09, 21 July 2013 (UTC)
I agree with Jweiss11 and I don't see evidence of this user promoting any organization. Particularly with the change to a new username, I think the block should be lifted. Billcasey905 (talk) 23:46, 21 July 2013 (UTC)

Block removed[edit]

I think I was somewhat overstepping the line with this block - the name looks promotional but there is no evidence of promotional editing - bad call by me - sorry! --Brookie :) { - he's in the building somewhere!} (Whisper...) 10:25, 22 July 2013 (UTC)

This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
