[edit]You've mentioned this in many discussions as an example of an unsourced article that would survive AfD, but I don't believe it would; instead, I see one of three options happening:
- Converting to a navigational list, as it already appears to be one, and which per WP:LISTVERIFY probably would not need sources as the items included are obvious
- Redirecting to List of Christmas dishes
- Redirecting to List of candies

- It would need at least a couple of sources to establish the notifiability of the term "Christmas candy". It needs proof that this is not an original idea from your own head, as all content must start from a RS, not from our own heads. -- Valjean (talk) (PING me) 17:10, 3 November 2023 (UTC)
- Since WP:NEXIST is our official rule, the article doesn't actually need sources. The requirement is that the real world (NB: not the article) have sources about the subject. This particular subject was notable before Wikipedia existed; nothing that I write (or don't) can change that. WhatamIdoing (talk) 22:17, 24 May 2024 (UTC)

- In this demo piece, I've avoided any statement that might be WP:LIKELY to be challenged. It functions also as a demonstration that it's possible to create a very short article that does not technically require an inline citation behind any claim. The result is that it doesn't get to include any interesting content. Specifically, I think it would be interesting to include information about annual sales revenue, and what the most popular and iconic candies are in a handful of countries. All of that would require inline citations. WhatamIdoing (talk) 22:39, 24 May 2024 (UTC)
