read the whole sentence[edit]

This edit was deeply incompetent and suggets you didn't even read the sentence before you edited it. It would be nice if you spent more time thinking about what makes a good encyclopedia and less time thinking about how to adjust the political slant of the encyclopedia (even though the direction you're trying to slant it in is good). 50.232.6.4 (talk) 13:38, 25 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the feedback! I am pretty new to this admittedly, and I am still learning. What part of the edit in particular was wrong though? Wikeezy (talk) 18:14, 25 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
See my explanation here -- the sentence made sense before your edit, after your edit it is nonsensical. This is caused by your very narrow focus instead of thinking more broadly about how things fit together -- in some cases "Southern dialect" can be euphemistic for a racial term, but not in this instance (because read the whole sentence!). 172.58.190.210 (talk) 20:09, 25 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I reread the whole sentence, it seems to make sense to me. Read my reply to your explanation. Wikeezy (talk) 21:04, 25 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
