Help me!

[edit]

Is there a way to delete defamatory, unsupported information from edit summaries? There's a BLP that had unsubstantiated allegations of an inappropriate sexual relationship removed from the article, but "Allegations of Sexual Relationships" still appears several times in the edit history.

The information you seek is available at Wikipedia:Revision_deletion#How_to_request_Revision_Deletion. 78.28.54.83 (talk) 18:22, 22 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Uncited edit

[edit]

Hi Wilipino, would you mind explaining why you made this unsourced "minor" edit to the Richard Branson article: [1] "added post nominal letters", where you added LVO to the infobox? Branson is a Knight Bachelor, he is not a member of the Royal Victorian Order or any other order. The edit has caused a bit of a stir in the article... --IamNotU (talk) 23:16, 7 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Sure! According to the BBC "He was made a Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order (LVO). He shielded the Prince from a gunman's shots in Australia during a royal tour in 1994 and received a Queen's Commendation for Bravery." [2] Wilipino (talk) 15:01, 8 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, whoops, looks like I was reading too fast. Apparently that was someone else mentioned in the article. Mea culpa. Sorry about that. Whoever caught it and reverted it did a good job. Wilipino (talk) 15:05, 8 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, that clears up the misunderstanding, thanks for explaining! --IamNotU (talk) 15:23, 8 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

42Gears Mobility Systems moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, 42Gears Mobility Systems, is likely paid article with unclear notability; it needs to go through WP:AFC.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. It is not paid. I'm an employee of a company that uses their SaaS and I really like the service. That's fine that you're moving it to draft space, and I will work on it, but you are prejudicing the article's consideration for inclusion by saying things like that. Wilipino (talk) 18:09, 24 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I note that both 42Gears Mobility Systems and 42Gears were deleted from mainspace fairly recently. --K.e.coffman (talk) 01:01, 25 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Exactly. After the most recent one went down, I thought I'd take a crack at writing one that would stay up. Wilipino (talk) 09:14, 26 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
It was suggested that the article should go through Deletion review, which you ignored: [3]. --K.e.coffman (talk) 02:59, 27 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't think suggesting an unwritten article should go through deletion review was reasonable (how can one say a future draft, as yet unwritten, needs to be reviewed for deletion based on prior poor quality?), and I disregarded the suggestion. Now it is here in draft space, where I think it will get a fairer shake than it would at deletion review. Wilipino (talk) 04:21, 27 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
