Bohola

[edit]

Hi, you added a note to the Bohola page stating the song was written by Brendan Shine. It was written by Michael Commins, local broadcaster and journalist. 86.161.121.161 (talk) 23:08, 20 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, that wasn't my edit! I only added a link to another section Iveagh Gardens (talk) 08:08, 21 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Undefined sfn in Wicklow–Wexford (Dáil constituency)

[edit]

Hi, in this edit to Wicklow–Wexford (Dáil constituency) you replaced <ref>https://ec-report.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com/constituency-review-report-2023.pdf</ref> with {{sfn|BGI|1996}}. There is no work "BGI 1996" listed, and 1996 would anyway be an unlikely date for a change in 2023. DuncanHill (talk) 14:22, 30 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Good catch! I had copied that from the example at Template:sfn, without making the proper substitutions! Iveagh Gardens (talk) 14:27, 30 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

OpenStreet Map County Carlow

[edit]

Hi, I noticed you were the one who put in the OpenStreet Maps for various Irish counties, so figured I'd ask directly. The map on the County Carlow article is glitched and I don't know how to fix it. --Jacobfrid (talk) 20:33, 24 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm puzzled at to what happened there. As far as I can see, the wikidata stills points to the right OSM map. I'll keep an eye on that though, to see if anything else comes to mind for me. Iveagh Gardens (talk) 15:30, 25 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Caps

[edit]

Hi there, following the move from Government to government in Irish article. What about Executive Council and Ministry? Are they also to be lowercase? Spleodrach (talk) 11:25, 30 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Good question! Government --> government was the easiest call, being a commonplace word, even when part of a formal title, so it was the first one I approached it with. But I can't see why it wouldn't also apply for executive council and ministry. FWIW, I've noticed that the Irish Times now uses lowercase for taoiseach. All that said, I'd be hesitant about moving to the same for Dáil or Seanad, as in 33rd dáil, even if arguably the same principle applies. (By the way, thanks for catching and reverting a false positive in a heading when I was going through them; the AWB is efficient, but I do need to watch out!)
