Abuse of Admin rights by Chris 73

[edit]

I have blocked you for 24 hours for disrupting Wikipedia. You have repeatedly removed double naming from articles against community consensus. The last instance was Georg Forster [1]. As per Talk:Gdansk/Vote, there was a more than 2/3rd majority for double naming, both for Gdansk and for the cities with a shared history in general. There was also a more than 2/3rd majority for biographies of German people to have the order German/Polish (and vice versa for Polish people). You are very well aware of this vote, and even you yourself said that a 2/3rd majority is good enough for consensus. I also have warned you again on your talk page (which you kindly removed [2]) Hence I block you for disrupting Wikipedia for repeatedly and over the span of multiple months going against community consensus. I fully expect you to bitch on any noticeboard and talk page you can get a hold of, feel free to do so. On an unrelated side note, please do not revert my talk page. Also, you can still edit your talk page. -- Chris 73 Talk 14:17, September 3, 2005 (UTC)

Thats abuse of Admin rights. First of all you should know that "users should not block those with whom they are currently engaged in conflict". I have not committed any violation of the Wikipedia policy. --Witkacy 14:40, 3 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia:Blocking policy: Disruption
Sysops may, at their judgement, block IP addresses or usernames that disrupt the normal functioning of Wikipedia. Such disruption is to be objectively defined by specific policies, and may include changing other users' signed comments or making deliberately misleading edits.
You have changed names of Polish cities to German ones, and i reverted you. So tell me please, according to what policy did you blocked me?--Witkacy 14:56, 3 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
As far as Chris73's actions are concerned, he left the article cited above (Georg Forster) with both the Polish and German forms of the name (Diff). Witkacy, from what I can see, was insisting on removal of the German form, leaving the Polish version only (Diff 1, Diff 2). The block seems legitimate under the Gdansk decision. To avoid any appearance of impropriety, I have removed Chris73's block, and placed my own for the remaining 23 hours. TenOfAllTrades(talk) 15:31, 3 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
The block seems legitimate under the Gdansk decision.
Under which rule of the Wikipedia policy?--Witkacy 19:59, 3 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
unblocked and reblocked Witkacy for 23 hours as a (hopefully) neutral third party to the dispute [3]
neutral third party? I dont believe you are neutral, Chris 73 asked you - per email? - for help, that's all. However, Im still waiting for the answer, which rule I violated.--Witkacy 20:15, 3 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
