Britain disambiguation page

[edit]

Hello, Wkwriter4 and again, welcome to Wikipedia.

You recently re-created a link in the article on David E. Reed to Britain, which is a disambiguation (dab) page. According to this Wikipedia guideline, internal links in Wikipedia should point to relevant articles, not disambiguation pages. I have re-disambiguated the link and moved it to the first mention of the word "Britain." There is currently a major project underway to eliminate links to disambiguation pages which you can find out about here. Continuing to link to "Britain" will only result in the page appearing on a list of pages that need disambiguation, bringing myself or other editors back to the page to fix it.

Please avoid links to disambiguation pages.

That's fine. My edit didn't change the way the title appeared on the page, only the page that it links to. Hope I didn't sound too cranky. I know these things can be a little complicated for new editors. If there's anything I can help with, don't hesitate to give me a shout.
Also, when leaving talk page comments, it always helps to sign your posts by typing four tildes (~~~~) or hitting the sig button . This will automagically add your nick and a date stamp to your post.
