October 2010[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. The recent edit you made to Tyler Perry has been reverted, as it appears to be unconstructive. Use the sandbox for testing; if you believe the edit was constructive, ensure that you provide an informative edit summary. You may also wish to read the introduction to editing. Thank you. Please don't copy the Discovery provided episode summaries into the episode list as that is a copyright violation. After the show has been aired, you can write your own summary, but the Discovery summary can not be used. Thanks. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 23:57, 9 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Re your message: Even if you were to attribute the source of the description, it would not fall under the Fair Use guideline as it copies far too much content. The best way is to just write your own summary instead of copying. As for writing content before an media is widely available like a future television episode or film, that's fine. There is nothing wrong with that. You just have to be careful that you provide a citation from a reliable source for any content that you add. In your specific question about film screeners, you can use the critic's review as a source if they are reliable (i.e., nationally recognized, not some guy with a blog that claims to have gotten a sneak peak at an early incomplete version of the film if you know what I mean). In the case of the Storm Chasers episode descriptions, I would recommend just waiting until the episode airs and then writing your own description. There is not a very high editor interest for writing the descriptions, so leaving the summary blank until after airing is fine, I think. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 15:53, 11 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for May 20[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Damaged Justice, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page The Summit. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
