[edit]Hi. Welcome to Wikipedia, and thanks for working to improve the site with your edits to Joey Diaz, as we really appreciate your participation. However, the edits had to be reverted, because Wikipedia cannot accept uncited material. Wikipedia requires that the material in its articles be accompanied by reliable, verifiable (usually secondary) sources explicitly cited in the article text in the form of an inline citation, which you can learn to make here. There was indeed a source cited in the passage, and it quoted Diaz as saying he is Cuban, not Sicilian. I also added two additional citations, one of which is his biography from his own website, and they corroborate this. If you ever have any other questions about editing, or need help regarding the site's policies, just let me know by leaving a message for me in a new section at the bottom of my talk page. Thanks. Hi. Please do not add uncited material to articles, as you did with these edits to Joey Diaz, as this violates Wikipedia's Verifiability policy. As I mentioned to you both in the message above, and in on the article's talk page, Wikipedia requires that the material in its articles be accompanied by reliable, verifiable (usually secondary) sources explicitly cited in the text in the form of an inline citation, which you can learn to make here. Adding material not supported by sources cited in the article is not permitted, and if you add such material, it will be removed. If you think the information is wrong, then reach out to other editors in order to learn how to improve the article within the bounds of this website's policies and guidelines. Thanks. 17:08, 27 March 2020 (UTC)
