Overlinking

[edit]

Heya, Zenith Diamond. I really appreciate the great job you've been doing trimming up some of the film plots on articles I watch. But I noticed that you link a lot of things that don't really need to be linked and wanted to drop you a note about it. You might want to check out WP:OVERLINK to get a better idea of what I mean. Thanks for all the effort and keep up the great work. Happy editing! Millahnna (talk) 07:28, 2 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Zenith Diamond. See the above link for why Wikipedia places punctuation before references. Flyer22 (talk) 03:22, 20 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Punctuation in quotes

[edit]

Hi, thanks for your hard work editing film and film character articles. However, I've noticed you've been changing a lot of the quotes and putting the punctuation outside of the quotes. Generally, we keep the punctuation inside the quote if that punctuation is present in the original quote. For instance, changing James Cameron's "The film is definitely not anti-American." quote to "The film is definitely not anti-American". That period is present in the original interview so it should be present in the quote. For more information, please see WP:MOSLQ. It's just a little thing, but we do try to stick to the Manual of Style. Happy editing, OohBunnies!Leave a message :) 03:31, 27 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. In CarnEvil, you recently added a link to the disambiguation page Big Top (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. For more information, see the FAQ or drop a line at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
