What kind of information could I add that proves someone's birthplace? It's not like I have a copy of his birth certificate 😂

I rarely use Wikipedia to be honest (the only other page I've touched is Birtley Town FC) so not sure what a citation is or how to add one but he's definitely from Birtley though, his Mam works in the local supermarket and still lives in the area. Plus Lord Lawson of Beamish, the school he attended, is in Birtley.

The reason I updated his page is because he's just donated £1000 to Birtley Town's Just Giving page
