Conflict of Interest

Hallo, and welcome to Wikipedia. I notice that you have added references to a paper by a 'Z. Boev' -- seemingly yourself -- to a number of articles including Crossbill and Eurasian Coot. You should be aware that Wikipedia has strict rules on Conflict of Interest. Please take extreme care when editing anything to do with yourself to represent positions fairly. Using Wikipedia to promulgate your own work, for instance by spreading references to your papers or links to your website, may well be considered inappropriate.

More simply, adding references that are not used in an article (to explain the topic) is generally considered unhelpful, and where there is a possible conflict of interest it is spamming (advertising), which is forbidden. Chiswick Chap (talk) 08:24, 5 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not asking you to stop. Where you have added facts supported by citations to articles, this is helpful and constructive. I hope you will use your undoubted knowledge of ornithology to widen out your editing beyond your own papers so as to improve ornithology articles generally. Unfortunately, besides my information, my English in not good enough to contribute the English version of Wikipedia .... .
