Valentina Naforniță (born 1987) is a Moldavian soprano opera singer, born in Republic of Moldova. She is best known as the 2011 winner of the BBC Cardiff Singer of the World competition.[1]

Naforniță was born in Glodeni, Republic of Moldova. She graduated from the Ștefan Neaga Music College in Chişinău, Moldova in 2006 and is in the Master of Arts programme under Eleonora Enăchescu at the Voice Department of the National University of Music in Bucharest. She performs with the Romanian National Opera.[1] Naforniță is completing a year at the Staatsoper Wien. In February 2013, she sang at the prestigious Vienna Opera Ball, the broadcast of which was viewed by over 1.5 million people in the Austria/Bavaria region.[2] She is married to the baritone Mihai Dogotari.
