The Veer Marathi is a cricket franchise based in Mumbai, Maharashtra team that plays in the Celebrity Cricket League.[1][2]
Franchise history
It is a cricket team owned by Bollywood and Marywood cinema actor Riteish Deshmukh. It was founded in the year 2013 and was one of eight teams participating in the league. The team is captained and owned by Riteish Deshmukh, with Mahesh Manjrekar as his deputy.[3][4] Genelia D'souza is a brand ambassador of the team.[5]
Home ground
Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium is the principal cricket stadium in Pune and is the home ground of the Veer Marathi. It is located at Gahunje near Pimpri-Chinchwad and has a seating capacity of 34,000.
