Verne Global owns and operates a 44-acre data center campus in Keflavik, Iceland. As a strategic location between the world’s two largest data center markets, Europe and North America, Verne Global is addressing two key issues facing today’s data revolution – power pricing and availability.

Verne Global is a co-location and wholesale data center supplier of data center space based in Keflavík, Iceland, with offices in London, Munich, and Washington, D.C. Initially invested in by Novator Partners and General Catalyst Partners today its majority investor is The Wellcome Trust. Verne Global was created to develop data centers that employ renewable energy sources and is a United Kingdom company.

Location

Verne Global is located on the site of the former Naval Air Station Keflavik, which was once served as a NATO airbase located in southwest Iceland. The site chosen is strategic in that it offers access to geothermal and hydroelectric energy networks and is situated near key telecommunications infrastructure enabling access to requisite submarine data delivery systems.
