Veronica Chou (Chinese: 曹穎惠; pinyin: Cáo Yǐnghuì; born 1984) is a Hong Kong businesswoman.
Early life
She was born in Hawaii,[1] the eldest daughter of Silas Chou, a Hong Kong billionaire, active in the fashion sector.[2] She grew up in Hong Kong.[1] She went to high school in the US, and studied communications and business at the University of Southern California.[2][1]
Career
Chou is president of Iconix China Group and Novel Fashion Holdings, companies founded by her father.[3][4][1]
Personal life
On 16 November 2012, Chou married the Russian businessman Evgeny Klyucharev, with 1,500 guests in a custom-built Russian palace at Wan Chai's Grand Hyatt hotel.[2][4][1] Guests included Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, David Tang, Bruce Rockowitz and Timothy Fok.[4] He friends include Princess Beatrice.[5]
They were born on the same day.[4] They have homes in London and Beijing, and when in Hong Kong, stay at a serviced apartment in the Four Seasons hotel.[1] They have twin boys.[6]
In November 2017, during a three-day case at London's Blackfriars Crown Court, Chou and Klyucharev had accused their chauffeur, Irfan Zayee, of stealing a £167,000 diamond ring, but dropped the charges and refused to give evidence after Zayee alleged that Klyucharev "often spent £5,000 a night on prostitutes and the party drug GHB".[5][7][8]
