Vidnava (German: Weidenau, Template:Lang-pl) is a town in Jeseník District in the Olomouc Region of the Czech Republic. It covers an area of 4.25 square kilometres (1.64 sq mi), and has a population of 1,407 (as at 28 August 2006).

Vidnava/Weidenau was, for many prisoners of war, a stopping place on 'The Long March' during the final months of the Second World War in Europe. About 30,000 Allied PoWs were force-marched westward across Poland, Czechoslovakia and Germany in appalling winter conditions, lasting about four months from January to April 1945.http://www.lamsdorf.com/the-long-march.html

Vidnava lies approximately 16 kilometres (10 mi) north of Jeseník, 87 km (54 mi) north of Olomouc, and 200 km (124 mi) east of Prague.
