N. Vijayan Pillai is the member of 14th Kerala Legislative Assembly. He represents Chavara constituency and belongs to Communist Marxist Party.[1] He started his political career as a Panchayat Member in 1979, and continued so for 20 years. In 2000, he became a member of District Panchayat. He is the son of Narayanan Pillai, a veteran RSP leader[2]. He is the only member of Kerala Legislative Assembly from the Aravindakshan faction of Communist Marxist Party.
