Vinduja Menon is a former actress of Malayalam cinema. She acted mostly in films during the 1990s. She had acted only in few movies. But her lead roles in Pavithram as Mohanlal's sister is well noted.[1] She took formal classical dance lessons from her mother, and is also a dance teacher.[2]

Background

Vinduja made her movie debut as a child in the movie, Onnanam Kunnil Oradi Kunnil, released in 1985. She is a former Kalathilakam from Kerala State School youth Festivals in 1991, and the first artist from Thiruvananthapuram to receive this honor. She studied at NSS College for Women in Karamana and did masters in Women's College Thrivanthapuram.[2] She is conferred doctorate from the prestigious Madurai Kamaraj University

Personal life

Her father is K.P. Vishwanathan Menon, a Government officer, and her mother is Kalamandalam Vimala Menon, founder of Kerala Natya Academy, a prestigious dance institution. She has a brother, Vinod Kumar.[3] She is married to Rajesh Kumar and has a daughter, Neha.[4] She lives in Malaysia with her family and teaches dance under Kerala Natya Academy and occasionally acts in serials.[5] She has also been a judge on the reality show "Dance Party" on Kairali TV.
