The viridian metaltail (Metallura williami) is a species of hummingbird in the Trochilidae family.

It is found in Colombia and Ecuador. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist montane forests and subtropical or tropical high-altitude grassland. There is no cause for concern with this hummingbird. It resides in the Trochilidae family. Loving moisture, this bird enjoys its habitat of subtropical or tropical moist montane forests and subtropical or tropical high-altitude grassland.
