WGGA (1240 AM) is a radio station broadcasting an adult contemporary format. Licensed to Gainesville, Georgia, United States, the station is currently owned by Jwj Properties, Inc. and features programming from Westwood One.[1]

History

WGGA first went on the air in 1941. After WCON 550 of The Atlanta Constitution signed off in 1953, due to The Atlanta Journal/Constitution merger, WGGA was awarded the 550 frequency. The station switched frequencies again with WDUN (on 1240) and it has been broadcasting on 1240 ever since. On April 16, 2018, WGGA after adding 94.5FM changed format to Adult Contemporary.
