  - There's an existing image at full Blue Marble (first generation) resolution, uploaded a while ago by User:Dbenbenn - File:Africa satellite plane.jpg. It's a rectangular projection, rather than orthographic, but the difference is moderate. --dave pape (talk) 03:58, 25 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

~~Weak oppose~~ A wonderful image, but too tightly cropped for my liking. I would prefer to see all of Socotra included, for instance, not half of one island.
