  • I looked at the articles of the last 65 flower FPs in the category: Wikipedia:Featured pictures/Plants/Flowers, (65 takes us back to 2009), and 16 of the 65 have short articles very comparable to the nominated image article (that's 25%). There is no basis in the FP criteria to oppose short articles, just because they are short. All that's needed is the "image adding significant EV to the article" (criterion #5), that's all the requirement there is. My opinion on stub articles is in this Diff.
