- Support as nominator – Yann (talk) 18:21, 28 September 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose - restoration required. MER-C 18:53, 28 September 2024 (UTC)
- I note the need for restoration as well. Also, I think File:Archives of American Art - Augusta Savage - 2371.jpg better illustrates the subject and her work. — Chris Woodrich (talk) 20:20, 28 September 2024 (UTC)
- It needs a crop and a restoration (and to actually be used somewhere on the English Wikipedia), but otherwise I'd support that one if you want to nominate it. A great encapsulation of an artist and her work. Moonreach (talk) 20:56, 28 September 2024 (UTC)
- There is a crop already, though that still needs restoration. If Yann does not want to do the restoration, I can do it. It's a long weekend for me. — Chris Woodrich (talk) 23:07, 28 September 2024 (UTC)
- This is good also, but should it replace the lead image? Yann (talk) 12:53, 29 September 2024 (UTC)
- That's an editing choice. Honestly, as a lede image I'm thinking File:AugustaSavage.jpg works best (there is less tension in her body than the nominated image, and it still has a sculpture). File:Archives of American Art - Augusta Savage - 2371.jpg and its derivative work best in the body, I think, as her physical identifying features are secondary to her art in that image. — Chris Woodrich (talk) 13:34, 29 September 2024 (UTC)

- I agree, File:Archives of American Art - Augusta Savage - 2371.jpg makes a better FP and it doesn't have to be in the infobox. Bammesk (talk) 17:31, 29 September 2024 (UTC)
- @MER-C, Moonreach, Crisco 1492, and Bammesk: I restored that one. Yann (talk) 21:56, 30 September 2024 (UTC)

- Support ALT - Excellent image. — Chris Woodrich (talk) 22:23, 30 September 2024 (UTC)
- Support ALT – but the left edge has a very narrow white streak! Bammesk (talk) 00:49, 1 October 2024 (UTC)
- Support Alt 1 - Moonreach (talk) 13:31, 1 October 2024 (UTC)
- Conditional support alt 1, provided the white streak is removed. MER-C 18:56, 1 October 2024 (UTC)
