- Oppose Let me count the ways: Blown highlights, unsharp in full size, tilted horizon, distracting foreground, cramped composition... This is a "news" photo, not a FP. --Janke | Talk 13:36, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
- Weak support if only partially to counteract the overly harsh response from Janke... this seems like a relatively rare photo (I don't photography is ever first priority on missions like this) so I will give it a fair amount of leeway. However, I think it is right on the cusp and if we find there are many more photos like this then I would change to oppose / weak oppose. gren グレン 15:38, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
- Weak support per Grenavitar, this is a pretty eye catching image and probably fairly unrepeatable. Mfield (talk) 18:09, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
- Oppose per Janke. Might be a VP, but fails FP for me. Also, the creator above should be unknown. --Dschwen 19:33, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

- Comment as stated it suits the article well, and it is a very interesting picture but probably for the wrong reasons. The composition creates an Escher-style endless staircase illusion which drives the eye round in circles, but when you open it up there is a bloke staring straight at you which is distracting and annoying. It prompts a lot of questions not least of which is why bother to try to put it out - especially with badly aimed water jets and the quality is questionable as per Janke Motmit (talk) 11:53, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
- Oppose due to tilted horizon and wood in foreground. J Milburn (talk) 19:43, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
- Oppose Janke makes a good point. The tilting could be caused from the ship being tilted, though. But still, it's not good enough. SpencerT♦C 11:06, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
- FWIW, I'd say its not tilting, rather its distortion from the camera being pointed downwards and maybe partly from a cheap lens, the right side is curving down too, its just hidden by the smoke. Mfield (talk) 18:56, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
- Oppose Clipped highlights, faded colours, sunlight from above, to far away from the action - faces not visible enough, unnecessary foreground, ugly jpeg artefacts when viewed in original size. Cambrasa 00:59, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
