Wikipedia:Good article review circles/Coordinator instructions

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Below are the coordinator's instructions for WP:Good article review circles, if the project gains traction I will consider creating a user script and a bot to automate parts of the process.

Pairing[edit]

  1. Purge the page and remove all nominations with a red status light (🔴) from the nomination pool as a user has already begun reviewing the article.
  2. Find four nominations that are compatible with one another (check the topic-to-review parameter) and create a new section at WP:GARC/Circles using {{GARC-new-circle}}. Also ensure that each user has been recently active. Also aim for each article in the circle to have a similar length and complexity.
  3. Send a message on the talk page of each user in the circle using {{GARC-talk-message}}
  4. Removed the entries from the nomination pool
  5. Once all paired users have accepted, ping all users notifying them they are ready to go.
  6. a) If a user declines an invitation remove them from the circle at WP:GARC/Circles and replace them with another nomination. Be sure to notify all parties involved on their talk page. b) If 24 hours elapse and a user still hasn't accepted the nomination then the circle still proceeds with the user included.
  7. Once all the articles in the circle achieve GA status, archive the circle at WP:GARC/Circles.
