The Sharpest Lives is assigned to review:
In the Darkest of Nights, Let the Birds Sing (review)
SupremeLordBagel is assigned to review:
Ghost in the Machine (song) (review)
PSA is assigned to review:
Windswept Adan (review)
Joeyquism is assigned to review:
Growing Up (The Linda Lindas album) (review)

This is the very first good article review circle to take place, please reply to this message should you have questions or comments. Please also provide any feedback you have on this new process. — GMH Melbourne (talk) 08:48, 8 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@PSA and Dylan620: I am not sure how this process will work with the two of you nominiating, perhaps one of you can review the article and another can respond to the comments left for Ghost in the Machine. - GMH Melbourne (talk) 08:53, 8 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@GMH Melbourne: That sounds like a fair way to divvy it up, if PSA is game. Personally, I have equal preference between reviewing Windswept Adan and responding to comments on "Ghost in the Machine". An alternate suggestion is that PSA and I could collaborate on the review itself. Dylan620 (he/him • talkedits) 18:56, 8 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@GMH Melbourne, thank you for setting this process up. I look forward to seeing how this goes and hope this will stimulate more GAN reviewers and more quality reviews. I will be on an island trip for four days with spotty wifi, so @Dylan620 the most I can do is address comments for GitM; I trust you with the review process. Let me know if guidance is needed with any reviews. PSA 🏕️🪐 (please make some noise...) 00:37, 9 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That works for me PSA – hope you enjoy your trip! Dylan620 (he/him • talkedits) 01:04, 9 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi! Another user seems to be reviewing GitM right now... Is there any way I can still participate in the review (e.g. some fly-by comments), or am I not able to do anything? SupremeLordBagel (talk to me) 20:54, 9 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Good question, perhaps some fly-by comments on Ghost in the Machine and other articles in the circle could be helpful. GMH Melbourne (talk) 01:03, 10 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

New circles

[edit]

@GMH Melbourne Any chance I could serve as a temporary coordinator and start up another review circle? There seems to be enough articles waiting and I am really a fan of this project as a whole and so would like to see it continue. Happy also to wait if you have plans to restart this soon. Thanks for your work! PCN02WPS (talk | contribs) 03:29, 15 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Reminder about source availability

[edit]

Pinging everyone on the nominations list: @Stevie fae Scotland, Joeyquism, Thebiguglyalien, Arconning, PCN02WPS, History6042, Chiswick Chap, and Chchcheckit: just a reminder to be mindful of the availability of sources in your articles. If your article is reliant, even partially, on offline sources that the average person does not have access to, chances are low that the user selected to review your article will have access to those sources. Two reviews have already been declined for this reason and I fear it could be a major roadblock to the project. Just from a very cursory glance, it appears that The Motherland Calls, Melania Trump, Papiermark, and Until the End may run into issues of this kind. Of course, I may be wrong, but if you feel this may apply to your nomination please consider switching it with one which uses sources available to the average user! Thanks all. PCN02WPS (talk | contribs) 17:01, 18 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

For anyone wanting to review my articles: I am more than willing to type it out where applicable. I have all the print sources with me. Chchcheckit (talk) 17:04, 18 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The Melania Trump book sources are available to anyone with a print-disabled archive.org account, which is free and is usually approved within a few days. Thebiguglyalien (talk) 17:05, 18 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe it would be helpful if there were a practice of indicating where to find the sources if necessary when putting up a nomination here. Or when nominating the article in general. Thebiguglyalien (talk) 18:24, 18 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Anyone with access to archive.org, Google Books, and Wikipedia Library should be able to view the sources on The Motherland Calls. joeyquism (talk) 17:57, 18 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
