- The bolierplate for the fair-use license of the following images says that these images can be used "where no free equivalent is available or could be created that would adequately give the same information". Given that these players are still alive, free euivalents could be created, so the images should be deleted as they cannot be used on WP. The images are:

- Uploaded by Halibutt (notify | contribs). primary source missing, was made by a (probably unknown) german citizen during WWII. Source is stated as coming from the german propagande magazine Signal so copyright protection is life of author + 70 years. I fail to see who's the author, widely available in polish archives is not PD Denniss 11:59, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
- Contrary to what Denniss states above (and in his edit comments), the direct source is given. No author was specified in the original publication, nor did any of the publishers to re-publish it after the war in a plethora of books consider it non-free. If Denniss disputes the PD rationale - he could change the license to fair use, though I doubt it would matter much, as even if the author was known, the copyright would most probably belong to the publisher of the Signal magazine, which was the Reichsministry of Propaganda, that has no modern copyright successors. //Halibutt 17:54, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
- Copyright holder is the person who took the image and as he/she is unknown the image can't be PD. In Germany there is no copyright transfer from a person to an organisation. --Denniss 18:43, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
- But the image was not made in the Federal Republic. It was made in Poland, by a person being representative of the Nazi German government, and under the contemporary laws, not under modern laws. //Halibutt 19:19, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

- Deleted. As Denniss states, 70 years pma applies to official works as well. Until then, the creator's heirs hold the rights. Since we don't know who the creator is, we cannot assume this is PD. howcheng {chat} 18:40, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
- Uploaded by Rufus Sarsaparilla (notify | contribs). I uploaded this image. It was my dog and I paid money for the picture, but it occurred to me that the professional photographer retained the copyright. I left it be until I was denied permission by the photographer so now unfortunately it has to come down.

- Uploaded by Chowbok (notify | contribs). I was the original uploader of this image. It's now blocking a better image with the same name at Commons. The Commons image is the one we've agreed by consesus to use at Beastie Boys. I can tell the whole sad story if anyone cares. —Chowbok 15:34, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
