An event series hosted by the Kansas City Public Library and the Black Archives of Mid-America for Black History Month 2022. Source material for Wikipedia examples and editing will come from the award-winning 2021 KC Black History publication created in partnership with the Black Archives of Mid-America, the Local Investment Commission (LINC), and the Kansas City Public Library.

No Wikipedia experience necessary.To participate you don’t need specialized knowledge of these topics or of Wikipedia.

Note: Editors must have accounts that "autoconfirmed" (four days old and have made more than ten edits) in order to create a page. During the edit-a-thon, editors brandnew to Wikipedia are encouraged to expand existing articles to develop Wikipedia know-how. Those interested in working on a new article for Wikipedia can prepare the article in a sandbox draft space.
