  1. Why do you want to be a Wikipedia Ambassador?
    I want to Become an Ambassador so that I can be a part of this Non- Profit Organization and also impart knowledge to improve all projects in Wikipedia. I'm self motivated and can take up this responsibility.
  2. In three sentences or less, summarize your involvement with Wikimedia projects.
    I have recently started editing in Wikipedia, an already feel addicted. I edit in English, Hindi & Marathi Languages. Have also started few Articles. I am an active member of Wikipedia Club Pune, participated & hosted- Wikipedia Takes Pune, and now looking forward for the upcoming project- "WikiWomen Day" and "Wikipedia Summit 2013" to be held in Pune.
  3. Please indicate a few articles to which you have made significant content contributions. (e.g. DYK, GA, FA, major revisions/expansions/copyedits).

  4. How have you been involved with welcoming and helping new users on Wikipedia?
    Yes
  5. What do you see as the most important ways we could welcome newcomers or help new users become active contributors?
    Creating an awareness that editing is not difficult and similarly motivate them to contribute!
  6. Have you had major conflicts with other editors? Blocks or bans? Involvement in arbitration? Feel free to offer context, if necessary.

  7. How often do you edit Wikipedia and check in on ongoing discussions? Will you be available regularly for at least two hours per week, in your role as a mentor?
    I am regularly active.
  8. How would you make sure your students were not violating copyright laws?
    By creating an awareness of Intellectual Property Rights.
  9. If one of your students had an issue with copyright violation how would resolve it?
    I would resolve by creating an awareness of Intellectual Property Rights.
  10. In your _own_ words describe what copyright violation is.
    Copyright Violation is unauthorised use text/logos/pictures etc violating the rules of Intellectual Property Rights.
  11. What else should we know about you that is relevant to being a Wikipedia Ambassador?

  • We welcome you Ketaki Pole, and are happy to hear you want to explore Wikipedia more. But an ambassador has to answer complicated questions about policy and formatting, and it takes time to learn the many ins and outs.
