This article has been listed as a Good Article - it could use some more eyes on it though. I have checked that the article meets the basic requirements (eg references, copyright-free photos, etc). Many thanks in advance to reviewers. SteveBaker 23:03, 31 March 2006 (UTC)
- Well, for one, one line has been tagged with {{citation needed}}, so there's that. "References" section should be split into actual references and a separate section for footnotes, and websites uses as references should list the date they were accessed. TheImpossibleMan 04:14, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
- The sentence that was tagged was one I didn't like much anyway - we'd be hard pressed to find a formal reference for it - so it's history. I'm looking around for more good references - I'll be able to verify more facts as soon as the MINI books I ordered from Amazon get here - but actually, the three references I've got so far pretty much cover everything in the article. Right now, there are no footnotes. SteveBaker 07:45, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
- I can now claim to have read every book in print on the MINI(!) - and I didn't find anything to solidly back up that point...so it's gone unless someone else has further information. Incidentally, the article now has a bunch more references. SteveBaker 11:47, 5 April 2006 (UTC)
- Great article, would be nice to get some colour in that bottome template box though, ie colour all references to BMW in blue, Morris in green, Austin in brown for example --PopUpPirate 23:05, 6 April 2006 (UTC)
- That's a good idea. That template is used in 13 other articles though - I feel nervous about upsetting 13 other article authors. Still be bold - right? SteveBaker 18:27, 7 April 2006 (UTC)
- Well, I've updated it. I'm not sure I like the result though. It's hard to track things like 'MG' and 'Rover' with different colours when they eventually become 'MG/Rover'. What do our friendly local peer reviewers think? SteveBaker 19:43, 7 April 2006 (UTC)
- Interesting. I'm not sure it adds anything though. I think on balance I prefer the grey version. Have you got a Mini logo to add to the MINI one on the Mini timeline?Malcolma 10:42, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah - I agree. I'll RV the sucker. I'll try to find a good Mini logo - but the MINI and (later years) Mini logos are almost identical. Also, the Mini went under the Austin and Morris logos for much of it's life and we're perhaps opening a pandora's box of Innocenti and Authi logos. SteveBaker 15:07, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
- OK - colour is gone from BL timeline, and I found a (really low res) classic Mini logo. SteveBaker 16:24, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
