Song: Ram Das?[edit]

In 2006 October I heard a song on an mp3 player and I think the lyrics included the words "Ram Das" or "Ram Dass". I think the singer is Krishna Das, but it may also be Jai Uttal. Anyone know of a song by Krishna Das or other singer with a deep voice that contains, or is called, Ram Das? Thanks. -- Jeandré, 2012-08-01t22:15z

The top of Superman's height?[edit]

Found the following pic at one of the Superdickery sites: [1] What I want to know is: Is this panel "real", and where does it come from? I'm asking this because I don't think Superman ever has been as strong as here (except maybe in Superman #322, where he temporarily moved the Earth from its course). I think it's real. This is widely discussed in fan forums[2][3][4][5] but it's hard to find authoritative information online. Basketball free-throws[edit]

I'm currently watching the Great Britain v Spain Olympic basketball match, and have pretty much no knowledge about basketball. I'm amazed at how often free throws are missed. Free throws look like the sort of thing that a professional basketball player ought to be able to do nearly every single time. Throwing the ball into the basket seems like a pretty fundamental skill for a basketball player to possess. Yet a caption just came up that said that at the end of the third quarter Spain's free throw % was 55% and Britain's 60%. Are these abnormally low values? Britain might be excused, having only one NBA level player, but according to FIBA World Rankings Spain are #2 in the world. Oldelpaso (talk) 20:41, 2 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Those are actually very low. From the most recently completed NBA season, see here, the league average free throw percentage seems to be roughly 75% (just eyeballing the numbers, the seem to be in the mid-70s). Even looking at a typical NCAA (amateur college basketball) league, like the Atlantic Coast Conference, I pulled a few teams from this page and checked, and most seem to run around 70-75% or so. Spain at 55% is atrocious for such a highly ranked team. It is likely an abberation; it was just one game.
