[edit]Is grave accent used in Spanish and Portuguese?
[edit]Do Spanish and Potuguese use grave accent (`)? At least they both use acute accent (´). --40bus (talk) 07:39, 15 October 2021 (UTC)
- Spanish orthography says "Spanish uses only the acute accent". Portuguese orthography#Diacritics says that Portuguese uses both grave and acute accents. AndrewWTaylor (talk) 12:38, 15 October 2021 (UTC)
Felix captura, dum una hamo uno sex capiuntur pisces!
[edit]Does a proverb like this exist in Latin? Dr Lol (talk) 07:41, 15 October 2021 (UTC)
- I suppose "una hamo uno" should be "uno hamo" ("by one hook"). It sounds made up. --Lambiam 20:15, 15 October 2021 (UTC)
- "Una" is probably a free-floating adverb here, meaning "together"... AnonMoos (talk) 00:14, 16 October 2021 (UTC)
