From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

What type of sources do you think should be added to this page? Specifically, what type of information should these sources contain to make the encyclopedia entry valid? Thank you.

Alight22 (talk) 06:37, 25 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'm planning to do numerous articles about Balkan non-governmental organisations and this is my first. Is this article fine to be published and accepted in Wikipedia or does it need some more references? Can you review it?

Lumosnight (talk) 11:09, 25 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I am hoping that my proposed article is on its way to getting posted...I would really appreciate any feedback, changes, etc. in order to get it to go live. Thank you for any assistance you can provide!!

I have provided significant details on various productions made by this opera company. Am I on the right path here? If so, I will continue to edit in this vein to get this page into wikipedia. Thank you for your feedback.

BluOrpheus (talk) 14:25, 25 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The whole article sounds like an advertisement, meaning that it may be speedily deleted. Try to use a neutral point of view. Also, you need not describe the individual operas; a list will suffice. Finally, you must add references. If you do not, the article will be more likely to be put up for deletion. See referencing for beginners for more details. You can use the RefToolbar gadget to make it a whole lot easier. Thanks. Guoguo12--Talk--  14:40, 25 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

does this suit for wiki, i want it to go live without being deleted, its informative and based upon another associations page for general content and impartiality etc so its not advertising. the one i used as a template was

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Association_of_the_British_Pharmaceutical_Industry

please confirm this my article is suitable, if not why not.

We have tried to add supporting links to the history of the theatre etc Looking at other pages, we feel we have added enought links, could someone offer us direction in what we are not doing correctly.

You need to use inline citations to display your references correctly. Also, I think sections need to be added to the article as well. Chevymontecarlo 07:44, 28 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A file format used for mind maps, originally developed by FreeMind. I don't think this is controversial, but perhaps someone should take a look.

Wxidea (talk) 15:29, 25 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not make multiple requests for the same article, unless you've made significant improvements. Thank you. Chevymontecarlo 07:39, 28 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A file format used for radial maps, originally developed by SpicyNodes. I don't think this is controversial, but perhaps someone should take a look.

Wxidea (talk) 15:29, 25 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It's been proposed to be deleted, sorry. Chevymontecarlo 07:39, 28 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

JKWELL (talk) 16:26, 25 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You might want to think about adding sections, like this:
==Early history==

which creates a section with 'Early history' as the name. Also, try and add some names to the references, like this:

<ref>[http://www.news.com/article|Reference name goes here!]</ref>

Hope all of this is useful, and good luck with the article. Chevymontecarlo 07:36, 28 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is a new article on an overlooked but important figure in world ecology and in the growth of the American West and its expansion in the 19th century.

Pbhales (talk) 17:14, 25 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Consider breaking the article up into sections. Other than that, I think it's a decent article. Consider adding some categories as well if you can. Chevymontecarlo 07:33, 28 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Promise (personality development for kids) was deleted under the G-11 category, unambiguous advertising. I had used verifiable sources, links where possible, and tried to maintain a neutral point of view. After deletion, I have modified the inbox. I would appreciation any other suggestions of possible changes which would help in reinstating this article. Thank you.

I made a few minor corrections, but I'm not sure about any improvements. Chevymontecarlo 07:30, 28 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'd like feedback for the article about ThatsToday.com.

You need to add more reliable references to the article, preferably using inline citations to display them. Also, try and add more links to other articles - I recommend you start with the place names first perhaps. Chevymontecarlo 07:26, 28 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is an article based on an iPhone/iPod Touch game, so the main reliable source is the game itself.

The main notable information is the list of awards which are received in-game, since these are not documented anywhere outside of the game, and are not revealed until you "unlock" them within the game.

dlehman (talk) 20:17, 25 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It's an alright article, but I don't think you need to go into as much detail in some of the sections - in places one or two paragraphs would be better off than the sections you have at the moment. Also, try and find more reliable references to add to the article if you can; maybe a review or something on a site like MacWorld or IGN. Thanks. Chevymontecarlo 07:21, 28 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please provide a link to the article that you want reviewed. Thank you. Chevymontecarlo 07:20, 28 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please review for quality and compliance with wiki style guidelines.

I made a few improvements, but I do think you need to try and add more links to other articles, if you can. Also, try and add some names to the references, like this:
<ref>[http://www.new.com/article|Reference name goes here!]</ref>

Finally, consider breaking the sections up further into paragraphs. Chevymontecarlo 07:18, 28 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have two good references for this post. An article in Music Trades, a music retailer industry publication. The article profiles ProAudioStar. The other source is a article written by a local paper in Brooklyn about ProAudioStar moving into its new space.

Its difficult to get enough good references to write about this company in more detail. But i think there is enough to at least create a page for this company.

Also, I just need help with formatting for the references

the text about being ranked 31 in the world comes from an estimate from Music Trades

Thebdmethod (talk) 22:09, 25 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It's best to use inline citations to display your references correctly. I will do this for you as it's easier than describing it ;-) As to the rest of the article, I think it's pretty good but needs expansion if possible. Also, be careful with the tone and language style - Wikipedia articles aren't supposed to sound like advertisements. Chevymontecarlo 07:10, 28 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
