Wikipedia:Snuggle/Features

This page serves as documentation for new functionality that is proposed for inclusion in WP:Snuggle

Template posting[edit]

Snuggle users ought to be able to post messages and templates on new user talk pages. The images below show a mockup of how this behavior might look for posting an invitation to the WP:Teahouse on a new user's talkpage.

The current version of the user interface with the action menu hidden
The action menu is extended (not shown: user clicks "Invite")
An overlay appears that allows the user to edit a template to be posted on the user's talk page. The template preview updates as the user types. (not shown: user clicks "Post")
The overlay disappears and the Teahouse invitation appears with an appropriate icon.

Improved menu interaction[edit]

When I was writing up the javascript to implement the sequence described above, a better (in my opinion) mode of interaction occurred to me. I can have each of the menu options fly out instead of producing an overlay that locks the interface. See mockup below.
