To request a Triple Crown
  • For the Standard Triple Crowns, please see Instructions, below.
  • For all other nominations, including the Valiant Return Triple Crown and the Special edition WikiProject Triple Crowns:
    • For WikiProject Triple Crowns, please put the nomination below using this format, including all necessary diffs and relevant links. One article for DYK, GA and FA credited for each project participant is sufficient.

  1. To apply for a Triple Crown, cut and paste the nomination layout and add a new entry to the bottom of the list in the subsection below.
  2. Please put each nomination into a third level subsection of the subsection Current nominations.
  3. Unfortunately, links to user subpages will not be accepted in lieu of direct listing. Poorly formatted user space and requests to pore through user contribution histories have resulted in delays to awarding Triple Crowns.
  4. Providing evidence of DYK credit on user's talk page (OR evidence of the DYK archived at Wikipedia:Recent additions plus diffs from the article leading up to DYK); DIFFs from the talk page of GA nomination/review; and links to WP:FAC pages or other candidate discussion pages from Featured content discussions – will help to expedite the process.
  5. There is no need to supply more entries than required. For example, the Imperial Triple Crown requires 2 to 4 DYK, GA and FC sets. If you provide 100 DYKs, 10 GAs and 3 FCs, we will only examine and list 3 sets and ignore the rest.
  6. Note: – Please list all of your articles in your upgrade request (unless WikiProject, where one is sufficient) – for example, for an Imperial Triple Crown nomination, list the 3 new additions and your original material from the Standard Triple Crown – not just the new material. This will make things a bit easier.

Standard Triple Crown

@Roisterer: I'm going to have to wait on a second opinion on this one. Firstly the guidelines state you have to nominate the article for DYK, whereas the DYKs you've listed that I could find the nominations for showed that while the article was written by you, it was nominated by others. I'd probably let that slide on its own, but i'm not sure if your featured content meets the criteria either. The article was created by you, but it was expanded and nominated by somebody else; while I acknowledge that the version you created would of taken considerable time and effort, it was only really a start class article when you stopped editing it. Like I said, i'm going to wait for a second opinion on this. Have a nice day. Freikorp (talk) 13:03, 10 April 2015 (UTC)

@Freikorp and Roisterer: I'm looking at the rules on the main page, and they say that "for purposes of these awards, a major contributor is generally someone who contributed to at least twenty-five percent of an article's content." Since Roisterer created the tables that form the heart of the nominated FL. I'm inclined to agree that it meets the requirements. Yes, the tables were reformatted, but the content within them remained the same after those changes.
As for the DYKs, Roisterer must have nominated him or herself. The text on the main TC page is clear: "To be eligible for a Triple Crown, you must satisfy the following: Nominate an article that gets highlighted at {{Did you know}}." Since this is for a Standard Triple Crown, you should note end of the last paragraph on the lead of the main page: "Please note that Triple Crowns are awarded in sets. This means that an editor who earned twelve featured pictures, twenty did you know credits, and two good articles will only get two of each category listed. Please select submissions accordingly, and thank you for helping Wikipedia." Laurie Nash qualifies, and based on level of contributions, you were a major contributor for List of World Series Cricket international centuries. Now if you could just add a single DYK you've nominated, then someone could close the nomination. You could even try for a new DYK today or tomorrow and add it to the nomination here.
