Confused by comments left by auditor[edit]

I'm having trouble getting an article online, it's my first, so I'm not really clear on some of the terminology. I have submitted the article Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/DIANA FEA twice, the first response was:

"This submission's references do not adequately evidence the subject's notability—see the guidelines on the notability of organizations and companies and the golden rule. Please improve the submission's referencing, so that the information is verifiable, and there is clear evidence of why the subject is notable and worthy of inclusion in an encyclopedia. What you can do: Add citations (see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners) to secondary reliable sources that are entirely independent of the subject."

So I found some external links to articles and papers which talk about DIANA FEA. I then submitted the paper again and got the response "Please lower the amount of mid-article external links; raise the amount of internal links. You can learn how to do this here.". Now, here is where I am going to sound like a noob, what is a "mid-article external link and what is an internal link?

I seem to have gone from one extreme of not enough links to too many. But without understanding the auditor's comments I can't be sure that I am correcting it properly.

@J Jellema: The previous reviewer was unqualified to be reviewing articles and their comments were not in keeping with our standards. I have since re-submitted the article on your behalf and accepted. You can find it now at DIANA FEA. There's still more clean-up to be done, but you can now work through that with WikiProject Engineering and WikiProject Software rather than with AfC. Thanks for your patience. Restore my article please[edit]

An article that I was creating (Glenn Neely) was deleted for violating copyright policies and the reviewer that deleted it is ignoring my post for assistance on their talk page.

I did not use any copyrighted material in my article and the cited offending part was a reference that was used to back the information that was given.

I would like my article restored so that I can continue to work on it and I would like to know why it was deleted without warning.

Hi GlePa. The person that actually deleted the page (as opposed to marking it for deletion) was User:Anthony Bradbury, so you could try asking them instead. Their talk page: User talk:Anthony Bradbury. Do also read Wikipedia:Copy-paste. Arthur goes shopping (talk) 15:18, 9 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
You will appreciate, I hope, that as your request was not posted on my page, I received it only via the posting on this page. In your article there is a significant copy-paste passage from http://yelnick.typepad.com/yelnick/2005/05/the_great_wave_.html. this passage is not placed within quotes, and there is no in-article indication that it is used as a quote. There is, admittedly, no comment on the source page relating to copyright, or to the absence thereof; copyright is deemed to exist here unless it is specifically shown to be absent.

Hello. I am rather on the horns of a dilemma. I have been asked by previous editors for reviews of Gee Langdon's books but, as these are from pre-internet days, there is nothing online. I recently attached references to newspaper reviews but, again, this was regarded as insufficient evidence. Although she has already been accepted as notable for her songwriting, the books appear to be the stumbling block. I am at a loss as to what more I can do. I'm not certain whether getting this article accepted is going to be possible or not, but here are some ideas that might possibly help.
Do you have review titles, page numbers, exact dates, or review author names for the reviews in the Wiltshire Times and Western Daily Press? If so, add any of these you have. Also, wikilink the newspapers' names, thus; Wiltshire Times and Western Daily Press.
Create a separate section == Personal life == and one == Songwriting and fiction ==. The lead (what comes before the first section heading) should then summarise the contents of the rest of the article, with particular emphasis on what she is notable for.
The OpenLibrary reference is of no use for proving her notability, so it might as well be removed since you already have an independent reference to prove her authorship of that book. The same with the Abebooks reference.
Do you have access to what the Wiltshire Times and Western Daily Press said about the books? If so, you should summarise the key points of their reviews, and probably quote a dozen or so words of each - that would make up the bulk of the fiction part of "Songwriting and fiction". Hello, It's my 5th attempt to submit Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Lisa Burris Arthur . I'm told I need to link to more press coverage. I'm not sure what this means since my submission is full of links.

Is the wikipedia editor asking me to find press coverage about this person? She doesn't get personal press coverage about her, but she does get quoted in the press about her area of expertise = Big Data and marketing. I already included links to some of the press articles she's written. I've included links to some of the press where she's been quoted. I included links to the websites where her name is listed as an award winner. I included a link to her publisher (Wiley) and her book "Big Data Marketing." I also linked to events where she gives a keynote speech.

Thanks for your help and guidance. I'd appreciate any recommendations. It would be especially helpful if you could point me to an accepted wikipedia article about another book author that I could use as a model for creating my entry.

Hi Melinda. You can find a number of recognized Good Articles about authors at Wikipedia:Good articles/Language and literature#Writers, publishers and critics.
A person having been used to supply quotes for articles, giving talks at conferences, writing articles in the press, publishing a book, or being listed in one of the many "people to watch" lists that appear on a regular basis, do not contribute to proving the person's notability by Wikipedia's standards. It may be better to wait until Arthur's profile and impact grows to the point where multiple independent reliable sources choose to write about her in detail. Hi! I am new to Wiki, and I'm not sure how long the review process takes for articles? I think it's been stuck in articles for creation for some time now. Also, when i created the account, I thought that I was supposed to create the account under the article name, not my own. My email address is correct in there, but I can't change the username.

You will need to add references showing that the business has been the subject of significant coverage in multiple independent reliable sources. See Wikipedia:VRS for more information on this requirement. Once you have done so, you could resubmit the page for consideration by putting {{subst:submit}} at the top of it.
