[edit]

Hi There,

I would like to understand what changes shall I make to the content in the page to publish it. I deleted all References from the page as the given references did not qualify in the review. Shall I delete the links mentioned in the External Links area? Can I submit an article that does not have External Links and References? Thanks for your help! PersistentSys (talk) 12:33, 8 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Is there any reason why this software meets the notability criteria at Wikipedia:Notability (software) or WP:GNG? If the answer is no, then it's not important enough to have its own Wikipedia article. To answer the second part of your question: reliable independent references are the key to demonstrating the notability of the subject; so no, the draft will not be accepted without reliable references. [edit]

I previously submitted and revised in the light of advice so do not know what the problem is now. Please advise

Jon talbot56 (talk) 13:53, 8 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You seem to have created three separate, but related drafts: User:Jon talbot56, Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Work based learning (in higher education), and User:Jon talbot56/Negotiable Work based learning. Which one are we supposed to be reviewing? Also, none of them are currently submitted for review. If you let me know which one you want to keep, I'll help you resubmit it for review. 17:14:50, 8 July 2014 request for review by Blair Cromwell

[edit]

Are newspaper articles considered credible sources for citing a submission?

Blair Cromwell (talk) 17:14, 8 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Blair Cromwell: Yes. Please read our guidance on reliable sources and our instructions on how to cite sources. Be advised, copying text wholesale from this article comes very close to violating our policy on copyright violation. Furthermore, since you are the "communications director at the Bentonville Convention and Visitors Bureau" (as quoted in that article), you have a conflict of interest. Please be careful to maintain neutrality. Chris Troutman (talk) 18:46, 8 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I have written this article in the name of the company what I have created. Every single word of this article is clearly true and genuine. I have already submitted the URL of the official site as reference. But, I don't know why the article was declined. Could you please help me in making this workout. 14.96.0.82 (talk) 17:42, 8 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

User:Mescue/sandbox is a very simple, very short advert. We require references from significant coverage about the entity, and independent of it, and in WP:RS please. See WP:42. We also require a very flat, neutral, formal tone. Whiel we want new articles we need them to be about notable organisations and topics. You have work to do finsing references for your draft. Please enoy finding them. Fiddle Faddle 22:58, 8 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I am sorry, I am new to editing wikipedia, all I wanted to do is create a page for Live Presence Robot which is a new invention and patent filing is in process.

Sawanr (talk) 20:16, 8 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You have nothing to apologise for. Simply turn the text into "Dull biut worthy" (WP:NPOV), find references and that will be fine. We require references from significant coverage about the entity, and independent of it, and in WP:RS please. See WP:42 Fiddle Faddle 22:53, 8 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

When I log in and go to my sandbox, I get the following message.

This sandbox is in the Draft namespace. Either move this page into your userspace, or remove the {{User sandbox}} template.

What happens if I follow either suggestion? I need access to the bottom of the page to learn the results of my submission. Thank you

Janvermont (talk) 22:35, 8 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This is a foible of the process, one I have now cleaned up. Please proceed with the draft article as it stands. Fiddle Faddle 22:50, 8 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
